Panruti is a small town in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. It has no famous monuments, no tourist trail. What it has is soil — laterite-rich, well-drained, uniquely suited to cashew cultivation — and a community of growers who have been mastering the crop for sixty years.
Geography as Destiny
Cashew trees are grown across India, from Kerala to Goa to Maharashtra. But Panruti cashews are consistently ranked among the finest in Asia. The reason is geography. The town sits at a specific altitude and humidity band where cashew trees produce nuts with a higher kernel-to-shell ratio, lower moisture content, and a characteristic sweetness that buyers in Europe and the Gulf have come to specify by name.
"A Panruti W240 is not the same as a W240 from anywhere else. Buyers who've tasted both know the difference immediately."
— Export Quality Assessment, 2024The Harvest Cycle
Cashew trees in Panruti flower between January and February. The nuts ripen through April, May, and into June — a window that coincides with the dry season, which is critical for quality. Rain during harvest swells the kernel and reduces shelf life. Panruti's climate delivers almost none during this period.
Our partner farmers harvest by hand. No mechanical shakers. The nuts are collected daily, dried within 24 hours of harvest, and transported to our processing facility the same week. Speed from tree to processing is not just a quality metric — it is what separates a premium kernel from an ordinary one.
What "Premium" Actually Means
The word is overused in food. For us, it has a precise definition: grade W240 or better, moisture below 5%, zero aflatoxin detected, full white colour with no scorching or mould. Our internal grading rejects 12–18% of every incoming batch. Those kernels go to the domestic roasted market. Only the best carries the Rajasingucashews name across a border.
Every export shipment comes with a Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin (Tamil Nadu), FSSAI compliance document, APEDA registration reference, and third-party lab test report. No exceptions.
The Panruti Promise is not a marketing line. It is a geographic guarantee — that the cashews in your box grew in one of the world's finest cashew-producing belts, were harvested at peak ripeness, and were processed within days of leaving the tree. That is what origin means. That is what we promise.
