Wood Pressed
Groundnut Oil

Pressed the old way — in a traditional wooden churner (Ghani) at room temperature. No heat, no hexane, no bleaching. Just pure groundnut oil exactly as it has been made in Indian kitchens for centuries.

Why This Product

Why Wood Pressed Groundnut Oil Is Different

Industrial extraction uses hexane solvents and high heat. Wood pressing preserves every bioactive compound nature put in the groundnut.

🥜
Resveratrol Rich
Contains resveratrol — the same antioxidant found in red wine — which supports cardiovascular health and reduces inflammation markers.
🔥
High Smoke Point
Stable at 120°C+ making it ideal for deep frying, stir-frying, and Indian tadkas without breaking down into harmful compounds.
💛
Vitamin E
Rich natural source of Vitamin E (tocopherols) — a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects cells and supports skin health.
🫀
Heart Healthy Fats
Balanced ratio of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Lower in saturated fat than coconut oil. No trans fats ever.
🌡️
No Hexane Solvent
Commercial groundnut oil is extracted using hexane — a petroleum byproduct. Our wood pressing uses zero solvents, ever.
🧪
Lab Tested
Every batch is tested for peroxide value, free fatty acid content, and moisture. You get the certificate with every order.
Our Process

From Groundnut to Bottle: The Wooden Ghani Method

01
🥜
Select & Clean
Premium groundnuts sourced from Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat — sun-dried, sorted by hand, and cleaned before pressing.
02
🔨
Wood Ghani Press
Groundnuts are loaded into a traditional wooden churner (Ghani) rotated by a stone wheel. No heat generated — fully cold extraction.
03
🧹
Natural Settle
Pressed oil is left in clay pots to naturally settle for 24–48 hours, separating sediment without any chemical filtration.
04
🧴
Glass & Seal
Filtered through cloth, bottled in dark glass to protect from UV degradation, sealed and batch-coded for full traceability.
How to Use

How to Use Groundnut Oil

🍳
Everyday Cooking
Perfect for daily cooking — use for tempering, sautéing, and curries. Its subtle nutty aroma enhances dal, sabzi, and South Indian dishes.
🔥
Deep Frying
The high smoke point makes it excellent for deep frying puris, pakoras, and murukku. Reusable for 2–3 rounds without off-flavours.
🥗
Salad Dressings
Use cold-pressed groundnut oil raw in dressings — a teaspoon over chaat, kachumber salad, or sprouts brings out rich roasted notes.

Questions & Answers

Groundnut Oil FAQs

What is the difference between wood-pressed and refined groundnut oil?+

Wood-pressed (Ghani) oil retains all natural vitamins, antioxidants, and aroma. Refined oil is extracted with hexane solvents and processed with chemicals that strip out most nutrients. Wood-pressed oil is exactly what comes out of the groundnut — nothing added, nothing removed.

Can wood-pressed groundnut oil be used for deep frying?+

Yes — its smoke point of 120°C+ makes it excellent for deep frying. It does not break down into harmful compounds at typical frying temperatures. Commercial cold-pressed oils sometimes have lower smoke points due to impurities, but our process ensures stability.

How long does the oil last?+

12 months from production when stored away from direct sunlight and heat. Use dark glass storage. Unlike refined oils, wood-pressed groundnut oil does not need artificial preservatives to achieve this shelf life.

Will I see sediment at the bottom?+

Yes — a small amount of natural sediment (groundnut particles) may settle at the bottom. This is normal and a sign of authenticity. Simply shake before use.

Is this oil suitable for people with peanut allergies?+

No — if you have a groundnut/peanut allergy, please avoid this product. While cold pressing does not add allergens, the allergen proteins in groundnut are present in the oil.
